A concert presented jointly by Nepean Choir, Castenchel Choir and the Nepean High School choirs. This concert will include Mozart’s Requiem (the new Ostrzyga completion!) and Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass.

On the new Ostrzyga completion: Hardly any other work in the history of music is as full of secrets as Mozart’s Requiem, particularly the repeated criticism of the completion of the fragment by Mozart’s student Süssmayr, as there are some stylistic breaks that are not typical of Mozart. Michael Ostrzyga presents a carefully corrected version that includes the “most probable compositional solutions for November/December1791” that Mozart would likely have chosen.
